Biography
Gabriela Sarriera Valentin, MD, MS was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont where she majored in Microbiology and minored in English. Upon graduating she worked for Partners in Health where she cultivated her interest in global health and social medicine. She went on to obtain her medical degree from the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Aequitas honor societies.
Gabriela's clinical and research interest surround increasing access to urologic care for rural patients, global health, and quality improvement.
Outside of the hospital she enjoys spending time with her wife and their pets, visiting the various farmers markets in Seattle, reading, cycling, and contemplating the meaning of life.
