Dr. Sarah K. Holt is a research consultant for the University of Washington Department of Urology.
Dr. Holt earned her B.A. in biology from Skidmore College. After serving 2 years in the U.S. Peace Corps, she received a M.P.H. from University of Colorado and Ph.D. in molecular epidemiology from University of Washington. She completed her post-doctoral training at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center where she was a Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator.
Dr. Holt’s research interests have built upon her doctoral training exploring molecular markers of prostate cancer to work that is inclusive of all genitourinary cancer types as well as benign urologic disease. In addition to genetic markers of disease, she has expanded her work to include health services research examining how factors such as patient access to care, treatment patterns and racial disparities effect patient outcomes.
