Biography
Octavio Herrera was raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He earned his bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and graduated summa cum laude. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine before completing his urology residency at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance Health.
During residency, he was awarded the AUA Robotics Theater Rising Star Award and ICS Best Video Abstract Award for his presentations at national and international conferences. Octavio was drawn to the advanced fellowship training in trauma and reconstructive urology at the University of Washington. He is interested in the management of complex urologic stricture and trauma conditions using both open and minimally invasive reconstructive techniques.
On his free time, Octavio enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Seattle, and all things soccer.
