Biography
Hueylie was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Taiwan. She returned to the United States for college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in Biology and Comparative Literature. After several years of biomedical research, she developed an interest in population health and medicine and obtained a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She went on to earn her medical degree at UT Health San Antonio, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies. Hueylie is interested in research to understand health disparities and improve access to care. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, games and puzzles, and having good food and drink in good company.
