Kanesha Overton was born and raised in Washington, DC. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she majored in Industrial and Systems Engineering. She entered industry for four years working as a Manufacturing Engineer at 3M and Systems Engineer Manager at Ulta Beauty. She then obtained her medical degree from Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Her research background is in microbiology, AI, and chronic stress. She is looking to develop research in medical innovation and quality improvement. In her spare time Kanesha enjoys traveling, caring for her plants, and trying new local outdoor adventures.
