AUA Educational Opportunity – Practical PCNL: from Access to Exit
Please join the American Urological Association (AUA) on November 10-11, 2018 for a hands-on course, Practical PCNL: from Access to Exit. The course will by directed by Robert Sweet, MD, FACS, and will take place at the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare (WISH) at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The course is designed for the practicing Urologist who wants to gain comfort with:
- Performing percutaneous stone removal
- Obtaining his/her own percutaneous access using both fluorosopy and ultrasound
- Using current instrumentation, including flexible ureteroscopy
The following Surgical Stations, with the purpose of improving skills in performing Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), will be included:
Station 1: Percutaneous access with fluro
Station 2: Ease
Station 3: Renal Ultrasound on real people
Station 4: Ultrasound guided access
Station 5: Flexible nephroscopy, rigid nephroscopy, and NLM models and instrumentation (includes advanced basketing techniques)
